I did it Keith Davidson from Albertson and Davidson in this video we're discussing what is a trust beneficiary a trust beneficiary is the person who's going to benefit from the trust assets they're going to receive some sort of distribution of trust assets either over time or at a specified date in the future some trusts say that the beneficiary has to receive everything at a certain point in time other trusts will remain in trust for the beneficiary's lifetime but the beneficiary can receive either income or principle distributions for their health education support or maintenance it all depends on the trust terms but the beneficiary is the one who is going to get something some benefit from this trust in the legal world we refer to beneficiaries as the equitable owner of the assets they're not the legal owner they don't get to make management decisions they don't get to decide when something is bought or sold or how trust assets are invested but they are the equitable owners they're the ones who get all the benefits from the trust assets once those management decisions are made and so that's a very short description of what it is a trust beneficiary [Music] [Applause] [Music]
