Estate Litigation Attorneys in Orange County, CA

orange county

Are you an abused Orange County Trust or Will beneficiary? Trust, Will, and estate abuse happens everyday and it’s not right. If you have lost an inheritance under a Trust, Will, or estate; have seen a family member’s assets taken by a wrongdoer; or are suffering at the hands of a bad Trustee, you have the legal right to protect yourself. You are not alone, it happens quite often unfortunately.

Perhaps you have a parent who marries late in life and then the new spouse takes all of your parent’s assets leaving you with nothing after your parent dies. Instead of your family legacy passing to you, it passes to the new spouse’s children who had no relationship to your parent or your family. You know it’s not fair, but now what?

If you are an abused beneficiary in Orange County, you have legal rights you can use to seek justice and fairness, but the burden is on you to stand up and assert your legal rights.

How do Trust and Will laws work in Orange County lawsuits?

Will, Trust, joint tenancy, deeds, life insurance, pay-on-death accounts, probate; it’s all so confusing? When your family legacy is hijacked, it can be hard to know where to start.

Our California Trust and Will laws are like playing different board games. For example, the game of Monopoly has nothing to do with the game of Battleship; they are different games with different rules that operate independent of one another.

The same is true of Orange County Trusts and Wills. Trusts operate under a separate set of rules than Wills. The same is true for joint tenancy assets, life insurance proceeds, beneficiary designations for retirement accounts, and pay-on-death accounts—they all have their one unique set of rules. That means suing to set aside a Will has no affect on Trust assets. Suing to set aside a Trust has no affect on Will assets. Each asset may have to be challenged with a different lawsuit depending on how that asset is held, how it transfers, to whom it transfers, and so on.
